Tool steels can be supplied either in the ‘ as forged ‘ condition, or thermally processed and pre machined to suit your specific requirements.

Tool steels are primarily used to make tools used in various manufacturing processes as well as for tools for the machining of metals, wood, and plastics. Tool steels are typically ingot cast wrought products and must be able to withstand high and specific loads as well as being stable at elevated temperatures. They must have high strength, toughness, dimensional stability and wear resistance.

Tool steels can also be used for special applications such as producing die blocks to be used in conjunction with a forging / stamping process, or with injection moulding technologies where high volume, cost effective, repeatable and near net shape components can be produced.
